Frozen NAS, RAIDar says "not present"
My oldest unit is a RND4000. All the lights are green (although the status screen at the bottom stays lit).

However when you look at it in RAIDar, everything is "not present":

Frontview never loads.
If you hold the power button, it eventually shuts down, but the status screen at the bottom stays lit:

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserIs it really running 4.00c1-p2 firmware (from 2007)???
The frontview issue might be because it is too old to be compatible with a modern browser. Is this a new problem? - jnorris441AspirantI think there was a reason I never upgraded...maybe it would have required a factory reset that would wipe the drives.
Frontview has always worked fine. When I try to access it now, nothing is ever returned to the browser. Just "connecting".
The "locate" function doesn't blink any of the LEDs. It's just frozen.
This thing has worked flawlessly for years, so I suspect some hardware went bad... - bomAspirantDid you solve your problem? I am asking as I have a similar, if not the same, problem as of yesterday. The front panel of my ReadyNAS NV+ looks exactly the same as the picture you posted. And, when I look at the NAS with RAIDar, I have the same status ('Not present'). The only difference is that I am on firmware version 4.01c1-p1.
Problems started when I accessed one of the mounted share drives from a windows machine. The window for the share drive open and then disappeared. After that I could not access the shares from windows explorer or via a browser (http://192.168.1.150/admin). I shut off the NAS and turned it back on. The NAS was working hard and I received a status email entitled 'RAID event detected (rn1)' with the following in the body of the email.
RAID sync started on volume C.

Later the operation completed and I received an email entitled 'RAID event detected (rn1)' with the following content in the body of the email.
RAID sync finished on volume C. The volume is now fully redundant.

After I could still not access the NAS. The front panel remained the same and the status on RAIDar remained the same. Shut down the NAS and re-started, no change. (Note that the LCD on the front panel continued to display its 'Shutting down...' message even after the NAS shut down.)
Any suggestions? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredStaying on such old firmware is not good. There have been lots of improvements, new features, bug fixes etc. since the early 4.x firmware. Will send you a PM.
- bomAspirantUpdate ...
I went through a power on / off cycle again and now RAIDar is indicating that everything is fine. However, I still cannot access frontview (https://192.168.1.150/admin/). The browser (Chrome) responds with 'This webpage is not available'. And, I cannot access the shares from the browser or the windows drive mapping or path. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredCheck your PM inbox. I can take a look if you like.
