Thanks for the reply. I am on FirmWare version 4.1.6, so I will try to upgrade the firmware on my NAS, though that upgrade does not mention anything around patches tot he FTP service. I checked canyouseeme.org and got the error
Error: I could not see your service on xx.xxx.xxx.xx on port (21) (masked my IP Address)
Reason: Connection timed out
I will also upgrade my router firmware.
