Genie Apps on new readynas 104 not installing?
Hi,
I bought a new Readynas 104 as soon as it became available, and am trying to install apps from the genie marketplace. The service is enabled, and I created an account on the website and logged in on the nas admin page.
I am presented with a list of apps. Now, if I click 'Buy' on an app like SABnzbd, it just sits there saying it is being installed and never completes. This happens for all apps.
Why does the link say Buy but not give you a price or ask you for any payment info? Am I doing something wrong?
Also the Genie marketplace website has not been updated to include the new 104 so it says I have no apps available there.
Can I purchase an app from somewhere like ReadynasXtras like I could on the Duo and install via the update function still? How does this work?
This new readynas range seems very rushed out, there are parts which obviously have not been updated to accommodate it!

- noleafclover133AspirantYep, that seems to be the way. I work closely with the vendors and providing feedback for my job, so I wrote a lengthy e-mail about these issues. Hopefully things can get resolved soon.
- randomnut1ApprenticeStill more weirdness with apps. Most of them had again disappeared. Could not connect to any of their pages and were not listed in the install apps section at all.
This time I was able to go to the in built app 'store' and click install and it either installed or started the service, because all the config was still there.
Netgear - this is pi** poor. Please fix this. - noleafclover133AspirantAny apps in particular? I haven't noticed that issue, but transmission is the only one I have on it.
- randomnut1ApprenticeSABnzbd, Sickbeard and Couch Potato. Ironically, the 3 apps I installed via the genie store. Transmission has been OK :/
- noleafclover133AspirantInteresting indeed... So I heard back from netgear, they said that they see plex in the AppStore... I checked again on my end and can't find it anywhere... Do you see it in there??
- coxo01AspirantHi, I have a Ready Nas 104 with up to date OS6, however every time i go to the APPS tab and login I cannot see any installed apps, and when I click on the Available tab it just loops over and over as if loading something and never finishes.
Any ideas?

I've had a look twice, and it's definitely NOT there at the time of this post.- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredI don't think there is a Plex add-on for ReadyNAS OS for ARM at this time. Ask NetGear to make sure they were checking from a 102/104 and if they did see Plex they tried installing and running it.
You may wish to post on the Plex forums asking them what their plans are regarding making an add-on for the ReadyNAS OS ARM devices. - noleafclover133AspirantThanks, yeah I contacted a product line manager at netgear and heard it will be coming soon. Guess ill just run it from my pc while I wait!

It's easy to see what apps are available, without trying to navigate the site..
