Getting "Input/output error"s! ReadyNAS doesn't care.

I reseated the memory, and re-ran the test. 17 passes, 6 errors. OK, that's my answer. Bad RAM breaks everything.
http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=110&t=53390 says I need a 200-pin SO-DIMM, DDR2 PC2-5300. Normally I would just upgrade to the max available, but 4GB of a name brand is roughly $100 everywhere I look. If anyone has a suggestion for a cheaper 4GB let me know, otherwise I'm going to get the 2GB Crucial at Amazon http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B000F7QRTG/ for $27.
