HDD Failing? ("Reallocated sector count has increased...")
Hi All, I'm after some help/advice please. I have a Ready NAS duo (sparc, which I think is v1), with 2 x 2TB HDDs in RAID (mirrored), however, for a looooong time now I've been getting the message...

This is not a good idea, I'd suggest creating a backup strategy.
You are quite right I need a proper backup strategy. However, the redundancy of the RAID config, covers me for a single HDD failure, and my important stuff (mainly photos, plus the odd few docs and worksheets, are backed up to the cloud). If I lost both drives, the worst that would happen is I would lose all the DVDs/blu-rays I've ripped over the years, whilst it'd be an nightmare to re-do these, I do have the original discs stored elsewhere, so not gone forever!
To re-iterate though, I do need to set up a proper backup strategy for my photos at least, currently it's done "as and when" I remember!
