Hidden folders and access to a folder.
I am quiet new to NAS and also to Ready Nas RN102.. Using a Mac to manage the RN102.
Being searching to understand how the hidden functionality works?
I was able to make a folder hidden and also set specific folder to allowed to be accessed only by a specific user.
But I wanted to make the folder visible to a user only the folder only if he had access. Is this possible?
Also if I make the folder hidden , even as a admin I am not able to access/see the folder in the Finder(SMB).
Appreciate if the experts can clear my doubts..

- StephenBGuru - Experienced User"Hidden" means not visible to anyone, and it is not related to access permissions.

Thanks for clearing that out Stephen..
Is there anyway i could achieve to hide a particular folder from user1, who does not have access to that folder, but is visible to user2, who has access. - vandermerweMasterYou could consider using home folders, which gives each user a private folder which should not be visible to other users.
Home folders lose one really important feature though: snapshots.
