How can I copy files from the NAS using it's USB port to a USB drive

As I understand it, the RN104 has a USB3 port and USB3 can transfer files at about 500MB/S.  If I copy from the NAS over my PCs USB 3 ports I get about 50MB/S.  So, I would like to transfer it directly from the RN104 via its USB 3 port but I don't know how to do this nor do I see an article about it.  FYI, ny USB3 drive seems to be formated with FAT32.

I see stuff about using the backup procedure and copying the other way (to the NAS) but not copying random files from the NAS to the USB drive (directly)

If you are backing up an entire directory you could use a backup job with the directory on the share on the NAS as the source and the USB disk as the destination.

Yes.  What you cannot do is connect the USB port of the NAS to a PC.
