How do I do a full restore of [c] from attched USB drive?

Tekno is correct. You can backup a full volume, but restore has to be to individual shares.
Wait, so what would be the point of backing up the full volume if you can't restore it? Or are you saying that you can restore everything in the full volume except the shares? Does backing up the full volume also grab the shares data too? If so, that would imply that you have two copies of the shares data if you manually back them up in addition to the full volume backup job. Is there a guide that walks you through the process?
