How set up teaming using NVX with Netgear GS108Tv2 switch
Hi,
I have purchased a couple of Netgear GS108Tv2 switches, one of which is placed near my Readynas NVX. I'd like to set up teaming, but the guides available (when using the link provided in the NIC/teaming page in Frontview on the NVX is for some other switches which seem to have other options than what is available on the GS108Tv2 switch (or they are called something else).
Can anyone help on what options to choose on the LAG setup in the GS108Tv2 switch and which mode to use on the NVX (I primarily use the NAS in-house, for both mac and PC access, but also via Readynas Remote externally).
Thanks in advance,
Claus

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredUse the default options for LACP, I think in Frontview. Take a look at http://support.netgear.com/app/products/model/a_id/13308. There should be documentation there for the GS108Tv2. One would think they'd have explanation there on how to setup LACP.
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserOn my Pro I have it set up for IEEE 802.3ad LACP with an xmit_hash_policy of layer2+layer3.
On the switch, there is a LAG tab under switching. I created a LAG group, put the two switch ports into it as members, and set the type to LACP. I did this a while ago, there might be some nuances I don't recall. - csternAspirantThanks I will try that
