GS108Tv2 port flapping
I have sky Q running on Ethernet. Using 2 netgear switches on 5.4.2.22 there is no problem. However, I installed 5.4.2.25. when both switches reboot and activate the new firmware the highly active sky TV ports flap down then up. This occurs randomly at a rate of about once every minute.
The trap log shows a lot of port flapping. More so on one switch than the other.
Any suggestions?
I used the newer 1.1.3.3 control centre.

I suspect that their is a minor issue with the Q box. Overall everything has been stable. 252 has not shown any port flapping or link changes in 24h.
Upon reset to defaults on Friday, I noted a log that stated something like 'settings not compatible with current firmware'. Sadly I didn't capture that message.
Conclusions
I started out upgrading initial fw to .18 with a reset to defaults back then, then .19 about a year ago then .22 a few months ago. Since the reset to defaults on fw .25 and the reprogramming of both switches, both have been perfectly stable. The .25 firmware appears to require a reset to default, atleast when coming from so many older baselines. I now consider the case closed.

Hi Dave40,
Welcome to the community! :)
Kindly answer the questions below:
a. Have you tried to reboot the Sky Q device and check if same problem occurs?
b. Did you perform a factory reset on both GS108Tv2 switches after upgrading the firmware to v5.4.2.25? It is recommended to perform a factory reset on the device after upgrading the firmware then reconfigure it from scratch.
I look forward to your response.

- Dave40AspirantHi DaneA,
Thanks for the concern. I've been without internet while I changed providers so it didn't make sense to make changes. I'm back up and running again now so I'll check .22 make sure it's OK then swap to .25 and reset to defaults. I'll do this over the weekend and get back to you.
Thanks - Dave40AspirantI've managed to try .25 with a factory reset and all appears OK. I'll update this post on Sunday as that should be sufficient time to check for issues.
Thanks- Dave40Aspirant
