How to enable a trash folder on ReadyNAS Duo 2
I want to be able to set up a Trash bin on the ReadyNAS Duo that functions similarly to the Windows Recycle Bin (deleted items go into the bin until the trash is emptied). Although I've read posts on...

I have a Duo and Radiator 4.1.8 (and in Swedish, so the options might be named slightly different than what I have written below), but I guess it should be something like this.
1. Log in to the NAS Frontview.
2. Click Shares > Share list. This brings up a list of your shares.
3. Click the pen and paper icon under CIFS for the share you want to enable the recycle bin for.
4. Scroll down to Recycle Bin and select the checkbox Enable Recycle Bin. You can adjust the settings for when the files should be automatically deleted and the size limit.
5. Click Apply in the lower right corner.
6. Open Windows Explorer and go to the share that you enabled the recycle bin for. There should now be a folder called Recycle Bin, where the files you delete from the NAS will be moved.
You need to repeat the above for every share you want to enable the recycle bin for, it does not apply to all shares on the disk(s). Note that I personally had to reboot the computer I was doing this from for the recycle bin to appear. (Maybe it's enough to log out and in from the NAS, on the other hand the easiest way of doing that is probably to reboot :) )
