You might want to look at newer units, and even then your requirements might need a lot more effort, i.e. NV+ v1 will not stream to an apple device (iPod/iPhone/AirPlay), but it will stream DLNA and it also has an iTunes server to stream to a PC/MAC. I have a Duo v1 which I use for just storage, it works fine, but streaming is not a strength of that unit. It's also much slower than newer units, so file transfers take a lot longer. Fine for small files, big files will keep you waiting a while. It all comes down to what you really want to get out of the it at the end of the day.
