iMac drops connection to Readynas device

I have the same problem except that I'm connected wirelessly. Lightroom (Pictures) and iTunes both lose contact with the files on the NAS after several minutes of inactivity. Per the previous poster I checked my network hardware settings and they were already set to automatic. I'm very disappointed because I thought a cure had been found.
