Impossible to install kernelplus package with latest 6.7.3

Hi, I just upgraded to 6.7.3 and wanted to install kernelplus package, however it will not work due to a mistmach kernel version:

root@gollum:/dev# apt-get install kernelplus
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
kernelplus : Depends: linux-image-extra but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

When I manually try to install that package I get a version mismatch:

root@gollum:/dev# apt-get install linux-image-extra
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 linux-image-extra : Depends: linux-image (= 4.4.62-60700269) but 4.4.68-60700290 is to be installed

I guess the problem is that the Netgear repository is not yet publishing the updated linux-image-extra package. I confirmed that the repository is pointing to 6.7.3:

root@gollum:/dev# apt-get update
Hit:1 http://egnyte-cdn.egnyte.com/storagesync/netgear6/en-us 6.7 InRelease
Ign:2 http://mirrors.kernel.org/debian jessie InRelease

Hit:4 http://mirrors.kernel.org/debian jessie Release
Hit:5 http://apt.readynas.com/packages/readynasos 6.7.3 InRelease

Anyone from netgear able to fix this issue, please? or if there is an easy workaround from anyone else from the community... that would be more than welcome.

Thank you!

  • I believe this was fixed yesterday (though it can take a little while for changes to propagate).

In any case I would suggest updating to ReadyNAS OS 6.7.4 which is now available!

We uploaded the package for 6.7.4 as well less than an hour after uploading the one for 6.7.3.
