I've been playing with it for a bit also. Still needs a few bugs worked out for larger LANs, but has a lot of promise!

You can also use the iStat Linux Daemon (http://code.google.com/p/istat/) and the iStat application on the iPhone. Looks very good.

Yes, maybe it's a good idea to build an add-on. I use iStat on my iPhone to monitor a couple of machines. It works really good http://twitpic.com/84wty

Nice little app, but I have a few suggestions:
1. Push alerts from nas to the phone (already mentioned).
2. Give the ability to wake up the sleeping disks.
3. Give the ability to restart the NAS.
4. Bittorent monitor - maybe another screen that allows current downloads via the bittorent client be displayed (progress, speed etc)

I am running the iStatd on my ReadyNAS Pro, works well with that iPhone application.

This is great to see, and I just bought it here in the US. The biggest suggestion I have is to enable remote viewing. It didn't occur to me that the app would be for local network use, but that is how the Dashboard Widget works. I would love to be able to check on my server when I'm out and about. I'm on the network now, so it's hard to test, but I suppose when I VPN in it might work as is.

Check out iStat on the iPhone. That's a great app for Macs that does what I'm referring to, plus a lot more. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, and I do like the app!

does isTat work on ipod touch (eg via wifi) or does it have to be an Iphone?
