Is 6.10.10 the end of the line?

I am a passive user and have 3 NAS units at home - RN102/RN104/RN316.All 3 have been updated to 6.10.10. I only use it as local storage so 6.10.10 works fine for me. Been solid and easy to use. Wondering if 6.10.10 is the final or will there me more releases in the future?

I'd be surprised if we see another release.  I don't think they have anyone left who can do one.

All the platforms are in the "end-of-life" list.  Netgear claims they send out End of Service alerts to registered owners when their products become EOL.   But I never received such a notice for my various OS-6 ReadyNAS.   Instead Netgear just silently exited the business.

Netgear also says that they will no longer provide updates for EOL products - though they did actually provide one last security update for previous generation ReadyNAS (4.1.16, 4.2.31, and 5.3.13) well after those products were EOL.  But I doubt they will do that for OS-6 NAS.

Me too.  I run applications (Plex, etc) on a PC that has the NAS volume mounted as a drive letter.  I plan to continue using my setup as long as it continues to work reliably.
