iTunes / ReadyNas nv+ v2

My wife's mac laptop ran out of space so I dumped her iTunes library to her folder on the readynas nv+ v2 and wiped them off her local machine. Now whenever she tried to play something it always complains about can't find the file. I've set iTunes (version 11.x) to look at the nas, but it never seems to keep the settings and look at it. Is there a step i'm missing?
