iTunes. NV+ V2 4bay's

Hi all.
I just got my first NAS.
I read on the Netgear website about the device before I both it and noted it had a iTunes Server
but I can't find how to turn the iTunes server on the NAS.
Dose the NAS have iTunes Server as it says on the Netgear website?

pls help me to turn on the iTunes server.

  • Hello there,

My iTunes server has just stopped working after upgrading to 5.3.9 - I've tried to back port to older firmwares, but cannot get it to run again.

Hello mdgm, Is it possible to make another add on? like you did before in the post listed below? - It would be much appreciated and very helpful.

    Here you go: http://www.readynas.com/contributed/mdgm/addons/arm/ENABLEITUNESSERVER_1.0-arm.bin

Once you have installed this add-on you can go to http://ip.address.of.nas:3689 to configure the iTunes Server.

    Thanks in advance and regards
  • What's wrong with the add-on that's there?

It could be that your set up needs a bit more attention than just being enabled, unfortunately. There are lots of details about db type etc in this thread.

I think on recent firmware changes are needed to the config file which wasn't the case when I wrote the add-on.

Tried this addon on my NASDUO V2;ARM version 5.3.10, but it fails to install (?!?!?) Any suggestions as I really want to make this work

I had a go with the SSH but trying to log in the window disappears and that's it..... sure I am doing something wrong but this is a bit too complicated for me I am afraid

    thx
