Just a few questions for 312 model
I have just installed my new Readynas 312 Os 6.0.8, and I am very happy with it. :) But I need support please : 1. why has my raid a capacity of 890GB as I have 2x 1To Raid1 ? According to netge...
I'm not sure which FAQ you are using, the overhead does vary by model, and it seems to be a bit higher with OS6. Snapshots are built into btrfs, and are handled quite differently than the older ext systems.
With my RN102, I see 2.62 TiB sizes reported for my 3 TB drives, this is about 100 GB less than the raw disk size (3 TB = ~2.73 TiB). You are getting about a 40 GB reduction, which sounds about right to me. You could attempt to sort it all out with SSH, but it's probably not worth your energy - there isn't anything you can do about it anyway.
