Just checking before adding my new HD...
Hello everyone!
I purchased an extra 2tb ST2000DL003 hard drive today to replace a failing WD10EARS 1TB drive in my Readynas NV+.
Before I hot-swap it out on my NAS, I just wanted to ensure that this will be problem-free.
Basically, will there be issues when upgrading from the WD10EARS drive to this new drive with 4K sectors?
I am aware that I won`t get my extra space until the other 1tb drives are replaced in my unit- but will there be issues with the unit if I choose not to do a factory reset on my unit?
What are the benefits of doing this factory reset? Is it worth it to do it now (with 1x 2tb drives and 3x 1tb drives) or should I wait until the unit has 2tb drives in all four bays?

- If partitions are not aligned for 4k sectors, I would backup, make sure you're running 4.1.7 or later and then do the factory default. You shouldn't need to do it again after that.
