LAN photo browsing not fast enought

Thank you for your time and i'm glad to be here.
I would like to expose my problem because it might be the only place where I could find an answer.
We have Netgear RNDU4000-100PES NAS to serve our 5 iMacs + 1 PC(vista) with the help of GS608-300PES switch and managed by WNDR3700-100PES router(DHCP), in case we'll get an ISP in the future.
Everything looks and works fine. We use all this to show photos, lots of photos simultaneously.
The problem is following : when browsing photos(stored on NAS) through Adobe Bridge all files appears messed up and it takes like 10-15 secs to put all in order (by name - very important) while on the vista shared hard drive they all appears already ordered.
This might seems like nothing but for us it's very important to get ordered photo names instantly.
Do you think that this specs are strong enought for what we are doing or should we consider upgraing to (edit) Pro products ?
Would be unfortunate beacause everything has just been purchased yesterday
by the way the PC(used to be our server) is 4 cores with 4gb of ram

- Can you measure the transfer speed with using CIFS and AFP?
Also, are you seeing any problems with resorting directories when you browse them directly (not using Adobe Bridge) - Hi
Actualy the speed is well enough between 35 to 57 mb/s using teracopy on the vista pc. All cables are 5e or 6 category and 1gb nics
The exact same thing when using Finder; except the vista pc where files are shown as they should be with the faststone.
The strange thing is that when the hdd used to be shared under vista (4core) none of this has ever occured.
That's why I might think that this model of nas is not poweful enough.
May be RAM upgrade will make difference ? - But have you tried cifs vs afp? I notice lags in finder from time to time with afp. Also it creates all those shadow files for extended attributes using afp not sure if they would help or hinder the performance.
