LAN photo browsing not fast enought
Hello everyone !
Thank you for your time and i'm glad to be here.
I would like to expose my problem because it might be the only place where I could find an answer.
We have Netgear RNDU4000-100PES NAS to serve our 5 iMacs + 1 PC(vista) with the help of GS608-300PES switch and managed by WNDR3700-100PES router(DHCP), in case we'll get an ISP in the future.
Everything looks and works fine. We use all this to show photos, lots of photos simultaneously.
The problem is following : when browsing photos(stored on NAS) through Adobe Bridge all files appears messed up and it takes like 10-15 secs to put all in order (by name - very important) while on the vista shared hard drive they all appears already ordered.
This might seems like nothing but for us it's very important to get ordered photo names instantly.
Do you think that this specs are strong enought for what we are doing or should we consider upgraing to (edit) Pro products ?
Would be unfortunate beacause everything has just been purchased yesterday
by the way the PC(used to be our server) is 4 cores with 4gb of ram
thank you very much for your time and answers
regards

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserAn RNDU4000-100 is an Ultra, not an NV+. NVX would be a downgrade, and is no longer available anyway.
A Pro has a faster processor than the Ultra, but I don't know if that would make any difference with Adobe bridge.
