Length of Scrub Maintenance
I have an RN104 with 4 4TB drives it has around 3.5TB free of 10.9TB.
I have not run maintenance in a while so am going to go throught them one by one
I started Scrub last night and after 12 hours it is at 4%.
It has been a while so this may be similar to last time but do not recall.
Just checking if this is normal. If it stays at this speed it will obviously be runnning for a LONG time.
The logs just say, "scrub started".
Thanks,
BJB
It takes about 32 hours on my RN526 (which has a 4x6TB array). That's bigger than your array, but the RN526 is much faster than your RN104.
There are two steps involved - a btrfs scrub command, followed by a software raid (mdadm) scrub. The second step requires reading every block in the RAID array (even free space). So it will take a while.
