Local Users and Active Directory Authentication
Is it possible to use both Local User and Active Directory authentication on the ReadyNAS 102?
I have a situation where the person who setup our Virtual Server Host intentionally didn't join it to the domain. The virtual machines are on the domain but not the host. All other computers/servers on the network are on the domain. I have the NAS setup for Active Directory authentication and it works great when automating backups from computers on the domain.
I now want to start backing up the virtual machine(HyperV) images to the NAS from the Virtual Server Host. However, it seems that because the Virtual Server Host is NOT on the domain, it can't authenticate to the NAS.
If I could use both Local User and Active Directory authentication on the NAS, I believe I could get it to authenticate using a local user account.
