Losing access to Readynas nv+ v2
Ever since I upgraded the firmware to RAIDiator 5.3.6, I keep losing access to my NAS.
My NAS isn't listed under network on my computer, and if I run RAIDar, it doesn't detect it. I have to switch off the NAS, and switch it back on to be able to access it again.
I upgraded yesterday evening, and 24 hours later I have had to reset it three times.
The NAS is only 3 weeks old, and my knowledge of them is limited. It has worked flawlessly for the last 3 weeks

- OOM-9NETGEAR ExpertI have brought this up with engineering already. Can you put the unit into tech support mode and PM me the 5 digit code?

PM sent - denarius1AspirantI am posting in order to be notified of additions to this thread. I lose access to my new NV+ v2 (running RAIDiator 5.3.6) repeatedly as files are being copied from my Ultra 2+. I will most likely open a support ticket about it.
ReadyNAS NV+ v2, RAIDiator 5.3.6, 4x3T Seagate ST3000DM001-9YN166 fw CC4H, X-RAID2, 256MB RAM, UPS APC BE550G ||| ReadyNAS Ultra 2+, RAIDiator 4.2.20-T4, 2x3T Hitachi HDS5C3030ALA630, X-RAID2, 1024MB RAM, UPS CyberPower CP550SLG - gillmaccaAspirantI think I have solved it now, by reinstalling 5.3.6. Been good for over 24 hours
- gillmaccaAspirantTurns out I haven't fixed it. Lost connection again after about 36 hours. Re-installed 5.3.5, as I know my NAS worked fine with that version
- samgill1AspirantHi, I have the same issue as regards contact with the ReadyNas NV+ v2 since upgrading to 5.3.6. I've downloaded firmware 5.3.5 ready to downgrade it again as it worked perfectly at that version.
2 questions :
1) What is the best way to downgrade the firmware. Is it via the HTTP interface or is there a different way.
2) Does this affect the data stored on the ReadyNas, as I don't currently have access to it that is reliable.
Thanks - gillmaccaAspirantI downgraded via frontview, and it doesn't affect your data in any way, Been stable since I downgraded
- samgill1AspirantCool. Thank you. I'll wait until it's finished it's resync and then downgrade it.
