Losing access to Readynas nv+ v2
Ever since I upgraded the firmware to RAIDiator 5.3.6, I keep losing access to my NAS.
My NAS isn't listed under network on my computer, and if I run RAIDar, it doesn't detect it. I have to switch off the NAS, and switch it back on to be able to access it again.
I upgraded yesterday evening, and 24 hours later I have had to reset it three times.
The NAS is only 3 weeks old, and my knowledge of them is limited. It has worked flawlessly for the last 3 weeks

- samgill1AspirantOK, so that didn't work. It would appear that my issue is not down to the firmware. If I try and move files to one of the shares, it times out, and the ReadyNas dissapears off the network. If I copy the file to it instead, it sometimes works ok, sometimes doesn't. Sometimes a reboot of the nas will fix the issue with a file copy sometimes it won't. That and I can replicate the issue on 3 different PC's, which would imply the issue is with the ReadyNas.
Oh well. Move all the data back to the v1 NV+ and then reset the new one. - smckayAspirantMy ReadyNAS NV+ V2 Looses Connection about 30 min after it boots. It doesn't matter if I am streaming from it, or in the dashboard. It just freezes and I cant log back into it. A power pull is required to reboot it. I have the Log Files already Zip and waiting for an address to send them to.
I have to Mention, I tired to reconfigure the power management when this started to occur. Currently WOL is enabled, and Disk spin down is set to 25 min. With hourly management disabled.
Currently there is 3.7TB free. I really do not want to do a factory reset on this device, since I have nothing large enough to transfer these file to. Please HELP!!! - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee Retiredsmckay you should open a tech support case (see Online Submission link in my sig) and attach the logs zip file to your case.
- smckayAspiranti sorta did - Agent Wanted to charge me 600 dollars for phone support. I convinced her to help me, and i guess I have a ticket open, but she said she couldn't help till tuesday (when she is back in the office) I wanted to see if I could resolve this before then, or see if someone out there had an idea I didn't try. :-)
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserThe on-line support (https://my.netgear.com/myNETGEAR/support.asp) is free.
- smckayAspirantAnyone have any good ideas i could try? Or do you think they are going to have to take a peek inside? Any way to reset the power mgmt?
