Migration to OS6 : users and groups from OS 4 : #23902630
Hi, I've been trying to find docs/post but no luck. I'm moving all data/users from a PRO6 to a 316. In trying to move the users/groups , the only thing I found was to save them in configuration zip...

Hi,
indeed ...this broke the OS6 nas...I will restore original config.
OS4 had import/export of users from the security management tab.
I can't find this in OS6.
For the moment, it really feels very "abrupt" to migrate small move business environment from OS 4 to 6.
Data transfer is very simple with Rsync, and I can totally deal with the hurdle of moving data (worth it), but if users don't match, it's a very different ball game.
I wish Netgear understands the need for a migration assistant to fully replicate one OS4 NAS to a new OS6 NAS.
So far I like OS 6 file system (snapshots mostly) but I'm unhappy about Netgear lack of support for it's user base.
