missing files and folders when streaming
I'm playing back video and music through my WDTVLive, when I first got the ReadNAS duo, everything worked ok. But as soon as I put on the firmware update half of my files and folders are missing when I select to play files via the ReadyNAS as a Media Server. If I select to play the files via the ReadNAS as a network share the files and folders are all there. The only problem being selecting the network share method is that it sometimes takes several attempts to connect to the ReadyNAS as a network share, connecting as a Media Server is instant. No matter how oftern I rescan the folders (under the streaming media service bit in the websetup) they just don't appear on the media server playback. Its really annoying that it worked when I first got it, and I don't want to downgrade the firmware as its supposed to loose data.
Has anyone else had this problem and did they manage to fix it?

- RheumatoidAspirantdeleted contents of music folder, re-scanned, rebooted, copied music back over, re-scanned and it seems ok now.
- rlyonAspirantMy logs looked normal to my untrained eyes. Here's an example-

- taininAspirantHello everyone, hola a todos.
I have the same problem, for more than a year I used my ReadyNAS DUO with my Samsung TV 46C8000 and has always worked perfectly.
He had two hard drives configured with 2 TB XRAID (redundant), but to save space on the disks, after saving all my data, switch to Flex-RAID (RAID 0).
Since then not get it to work properly DLNA. The TV only recognizes one of the folders that exist in the folder "media", even though I upgraded to version v1.0.24 ReadyDLNA.
Also a very curious thing happens, but I only see a folder, if renamed from Windows any of the folders then whether to recognize the TV, but turn off READYNAS returning only recognizes one again.
No solution from netgear.
Do you know other NAS works well with DLNA??
Thank you. - taininAspirantHello again.
I read a post that may solve the problem but I've tried yet. (http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=35289)
In short, says there is edit /etc/minidlna.conf, to change "notify_interval" of 900 seconds to 25.
Do you think this would be the solution?
Dillyhammer, if I buy a license TwonkyServer solve the problem? Would be $ 19.95 well spent.
THANKS - SirEbrumAspirantPut me on the DLNA list-o-death... one who has the latest WDLive TV. I only see one folder, and of the 57 files in that folder (mostly large .mkv), only 22 currently show. The upnp-av.log shows something weird, that just happens over, and over, and over...

I have the older ReadyNAS Duo (Sparc) running 1.0.24. From what I remember, I didn't have this problem prior to upgrading..
