MTU settings XS512EM switch
Hi under port status it says my maximum MTU is 9216 on all ports my RAX120 is set at 1492 my readynas 626x is set at 9000 i have set my mac to 1492 i guess this would create a bottleneck at the switc...

You can keep (wherever the adapters and drivers supporting) a high or even maximum Jumbo Frame, typically 9014 on all the wired adapters.
Wireless does not support any Jumbo Frame, so nothing to change from the defaults there, too.
The switch is "just" able to handle frames on "any" size. Thus nothing to change there either.

Thank you for that so you are saying that devices connected to the XS512EM switch dont go through the router at all so basically there are no real limitations the jumbo frame size of 9000

Any LAN connected device - being on the XS512EM or the router GbE ports in fact.
