My system volume is filling up with files "chunk-000xxx"

As stated in Subject. My md0 went from stable 38-45% to 67% over night. Did an mount on the system volume and checked and found lots och files named chunk-00001 and so on. Is it safe to delete tho...

    Yes.

Second: i forgot how to access disktests and will my data be altered or destroyed if i run them?

Click on the settings wheel for the volume (on the volume tab).  The tests aren't destructive (unless of course disks fail when they are run).

There are several maintenance functions in there (defrag, balance, scrub, disk test).  You might consider setting up a regular schedule to run them.  I run each of them once every 3 months.
