NAS NV+ front view greyed out (ReadyNAS null)
My NAS works fine but I wanted to upgrade to the latest firmware so logged in via admin and then the front view opened but everything is greyed out so no access whatsoever to anything. I tried with Chrome and with IE and no luck. I un-installed and re-installed, Raidiator with the same result .Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Is the NAS under heavy load at the moment? - DutchgearAspirantFirst of all, I am not much of an IT guy but I try because computers enable me to be more efficient etc.
I always use Chrome and very occasionally when I have to I use IE, now version 7.0.6002.18005, in IE I have never used add ons , just straight out of the box and I don't know what you mean by using compatibility mode, could you explain please?
My NAS is not under heavy load at the moment.
Thanks for your help. - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserNew IE browsers have a "compatibility view" under tools - when that is on, they talk to the web server as if they were an older browser. But IE 7 is ancient, there is no need to worry about compatibility mode there! Your IE version was superceded in 2009.
Were you ever able to log in with Chrome? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredBy add-ons I meant add-ons on the NAS. I should have made that more clear.
- DutchgearAspirantI used to have access via chrome, but unfortunately right now front view is greyed out.
I have not added any add ones to the NAS other then the options that are factory installed. It's used as file storage on a home office network setup with 2 computers and 2 laptops , also streaming music via Sonos. I am still able to access the data and also back up to the NAS but cannot access front view.
Thanks for your help and suggestions . - DutchgearAspirantThis NaS frustrates the hack out of me , starting to wonder if I should move on to Synology and get rid ny netgear unit...
- DutchgearAspirantToday I shutdown and re-started the NAS just to see if this would make a difference. The only difference now is that the front view says Ready NAS shared but still no access.
When I click on about on the Raidar window or setup a window pops up "the following pages have become un-responsive" which again leads to nothing. I do still have access to the data fortunately. - DutchgearAspirantMDGM, any other suggestions ?
