As my NAS RN 214 suddenly showing data degraded error on screen of device and it is blinking, since login in the NAS and found one of the hard drive showing offline ( no green color ) . Kindly help with suggestion for further solution.
Generally this is a result of a disk failure.
Download the full log zip file from the logs page. You can see SMART statistics in disk_info.log, and also see disk errors in systemd-journal.log.
If you aren't seeing clear signs of a disk problem, then let us know.
Best options for replacement are NAS-purposed drives (WD Red Plus, Seagate Ironwolf, Toshiba N300 series) or enterprise class. Don't use desktop drives, as many are now SMR and don't work well with ReadyNAS.
