no errors appear in the logs,
This suggests that the NAS is now working normally (after pulling the power cable and reinserting it). Is that correct?

The NAS crashed at that location. The info might have been logged in the full log zip - did you download it and check? Or did you just look on the admin web ui screen.
You could send the full log zip file to one of the mods ( JohnCM_S or Marc_V ) for analysis. Save it in cloud storage (google drive, dropbox, etc), and send them a private message asking them to analyze (with a downloadable link). Don't post the link publicly - use the envelope icon in the upper right of the forum to send a PM.
If you don't have a backup of the NAS files, then I suggest making one.

I hit the same issue. I was
- syncing my pictures directory on my windows machine to the RN using FreeFileSync and
- configuring a backup of the same windows machine (Windows/NAS)
When I hit the test connection button, the error happened. I have the logs and will send them as requested in the previous response.
As seen in other reports, I had to remove the power cable to get the RN back online. It is currently resyncing.

Hi gobelijn,
We are not able to see the SMB2_tcon+184 error on the logs, it seems that it is crashing when you are trying a backup job from PC to NAS. For testing purposes, have you tried creating a backup job from NAS to PC and see if you will get the same issue?
We are curious if it only crashes when creating a backup job to one computer specifically or any computer. Do you experience the same issue when you try it on other computers?
May I know also the operating system of the computers?

I am also facing similar issues. The log does not record it.
Following steps were taken to reproduce error.- Share Drive D:\
- Create a New Folder
- Create a Test Folder inside New Folder.
- Try to create a job from "PC to NAS" with the Test Folder
OS freezes on previous conditions upon
- Test Connection
- Travers to browse from D:

Hi Sakib51,
Welcome to the Community!
Do you experience the same issue when you create a backup job from "NAS to PC"?
May I know also know the Windows OS you used when you reproduced the error?

Hi
All my backups are initiated out of the NAS. So I was trying to set it up that way.
I shared my e.g. \Users\<user> directory and tried to backup the Pictures folder below. The RN recognized the shared partition but when I start to browse towards that folder, I get the infamous error message.
Similar to what Sakib51 describes.
