netgear 424 backup to veeam Refs.setfileintegrity problem
hi all,
i have a netgear NAS424 and want to backup with veeam but i have an error.
Error: Incorrect function. Agent failed to process method {ReFs.SetFileIntegrity}. |
nas version: 6.9.4 hotfix1 - but i downgrade 6.9.2 - 6.9.1 - 6.9.0 and 6.8.1 but problem is not solved.
is there any solution for this problem?
hi,
this problem solved.
you can use this process
I've added a REG_DWORD (32-bit) with the name UseCifsVirtualSynthetic and a data value of 0 to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication\ on our Veeam server, restarted the veeam backup service and its working like a charm.

This appears to be an SMB negotiation issue between the NAS and Veeam. Netgear's analysis suggests that Veeam is trying to use an SMB feature that the ReadyNAS is not advertising. Veeam apparently supplied a hotfix in the past, but there have been some reports here that the problem has recurred in newer versions of their software.
Netgear's analysis is here: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS/After-firmware-update-to-6-9-0-my-backup-software-can-t-work/m-p/1411924#M138284
You should probably check with Veeam support.
