I'm positive that my NAS is a v1, it's atleast 3-4 years old and identical to the v1 layout portrayed in your linked guide. The discs are just a few months old, and only one of them ( "disc 1" ) has ever been insterted into the ReadyNAS. This is also the only disc containing the data i want to salvage.

I've never set up RAID on these discs, basicaly just plug and play so i take it that they end up as JBOD this way.
