Netgear RND4000 (NV+) 4Bay Barebone
Hello,
I have had an Netgear RND4000 ReadyNAS NV+ 4 Bay Barebone with 4 disks in it.
The power supply died in the NAS and i had to send it back. The company decided the unit couldn't be repaired and offered a credit or swap for the RN104 diskless NAS.
First of all i would like to know if this is a NAS equal to the RND4000 NV+.
Also i would like to know if i can just plug in the harddisks from de RND4000 NV+ in the RN104 Diskless and will this work or what do i need to do to make it work without loss of data.
Thanks,

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThe RN104 is a newer faster model. The RAID format is different so you can't migrate your disks across.
You could however recover your data using an ordinary x86 PC: http://home.bott.ca/webserver/?p=306 - Lennart_RosefirAspirantThank you for your quick reply but the link you put in your post doesn't seem to work.
I would love to get my data back ofcourse so any and all information about this is welcome. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee Retired
