I'm new to the whole nas deal, I think I have a handle on it for the most part though. I am getting a Readynas nv+ with 4 1.5tb hdd's. I just had a couple of questions relating to media streaming with the nas.
1. What digital media player would you guys recommend? I have a ps3, but i'm sick of it. And I would like something with some good sorting capabilities.
2. I'm planning on getting rid of my computer all together and just using my Asus Transformer Prime, would that connect properly to the readynas?
Any answers would be appreciated, Thank You.

- Could I use something like the thecas M3800 and load xbmc on it?
That way storing all of my media on the nas and also streaming it via hdmi.
I just really would like to get away from using a computer for any reason anymore, I only use mine for media streaming anyways.

I'm looking at the nv+ still, but now with a htpc with xbmc.
Does anyone have any setups that they have that they would like to share? Ie what htpc's that they are using.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using Tapatalk - The Dune products are excellent for video , but you will need an Ethernet connection to your NAS for best performance. I don't know how well the original NV+ does with HD streaming although it is supposed to handle it easily according to the Jedi. I use an Ultra 6 plus. Can you not wait for the upgraded NV+ or get an Ultra?
- I was going for the nv+ just because I know a guy selling it cheap.
But, now after all my research I think i'll just go with a htpc for now and add a nas later if I need to.
