NFS shares not available in XBMC since 6.2.0

Hi All,

After I upgraded to 6.2.0 on my Readynas 102, I cannot connect to my shares via NFS, which used to work in 6.1.9. I can only connect using SMB. My XBOX installation is running on Android 4.4.2, but that shouldn't matter? It used to work prior.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Do you get an error message when trying to connect?

What versions of NFS do you have enabled on the NAS? Can you disable NFSv4 if that is enabled?
  • Versions? Sorry, is there a version? Firmware 6.2.0 is installed. NFSv4 is also disabled. I have anyhost for each share set to read/write.
  • I second this!
Problem is a little cloudy; it is not "advertising" shares over NFS. It is possible to get files via NFS from XBMC. I know that because I added the files to the XBMC library pre-6.2.0 and they are still accessible from XBMC. Problem is only when you in XBMC want to add new locations. Then the NAS does not show up as an NFS server. SMB and SAMBA seems to advertise themselves: This is evident when using the Zeroconf browser in XBMC.
So, in my conclusion, the problem might be on the NAS and the "advertisement" (pleeeeeease, tell me what the correct word is :) ).

Funny thing is, that if I use the showmount cmd from an RPi with XBMC:
    xbian@xbian ~ $ sudo showmount -e 192.168.0.2
    [sudo] password for xbian:
    Export list for 192.168.0.2:
    /data/Videos *
    /run/nfs4/data/Videos *
    /data/Pictures *
    /run/nfs4/data/Pictures *
    /data/Music *
    /run/nfs4/data/Music *
    /run/nfs4/data *
    /run/nfs4 *
    /data/media 127.0.0.1
    /run/nfs4/data/media 127.0.0.1
    /data/Backup 127.0.0.1
    /run/nfs4/data/Backup 127.0.0.1

As you can see, NFSv4 is enabled on the NAS.

Problem is also present in XBMC on Windows.

Can someone shed some light on the subject?! Please

    Thanks!
  • i also need some answer for that topic, because i tries to connect the xbmc to nfs shares of the readynas and it completly is not working.

    thanks!
  • Reply from SkyWalker in another thread: Will be resolved in 6.2.3 beta 4
