Have you tried entering \\nas-ip-address in the File Explorer address bar?
Maybe also try posting a screenshot of what you do see in Frontview.
What size disks are you installing?

Entering \\Nas-IP-address in the file explorer address bar won't launch your browser. Note the direction of the slash.
What browser are you using? Do you know what firmware is installed on the NAS (RAIDar might tell you that)?

Item 1 noted.
I've tried the following browsers on a win 7 and win 10 PCs, Edge, explorer, firefox, opera and an Avast browser, no luck.
Radar is not able to see any detail as described before.
Yhanks for the reply.

You do need to enter http://nas-ip-address/admin to get into the web ui. http://nas-ip-address alone will look blank if there are no shares configured for http access. FireFox should work with newer firmware (4.1.16 for sure) - if the firmware is very old, then you could also try internet explorer 11 (or temporarily install an old browser version).

Thank you for the info, I've now tried all the suggestions and also the following.
Set up the NAS on a different, separate non internet connected router,
Disbled all virus and other protection, tried access with win xp, win7 and win 10 machines but still no luck.
Conclusion is that the unit is kaput, so will now salvage the drives and bin the unit for a new more up to date model.
I thank you for your kind help and suggestions over the last few days.
All the best
John
