No longer able to connect netdrive
Hi,
on last weekend I recognized, that my PC (Win7Pro) is no longer able to connect my netdrives to the ReadyNAS Duo shares via CIFS. It was working for years before and I didn't change anything. I also updated the firmware, but no change.
When I want to open the netdrive, I get a login prompt (password was stored, so I didn't get this prompt before). But my login is refused, for all of my shares. I also deleted a netdrive and created a new one - no change. Even when I set the default rights of the share to read/write, I have to login. What could I do? What could I check?
Regards,
Christian

What security mode are you using?

Hi,
what do you mean with security mode?
For that share only CIFS is enabled, default access is deactivated and a user with write access is defined. But also when default access is set to read/write, the login is refused.

The Duo v1 originally supported 3 security modes - user, share, and domain. Share mode has been deprecated, but if you were using it before that happened, you still have that option to use it. See page 27ff here: http://www.readynas.com/download/documentation/UM/RAIDiator4-1_SW_en_30Nov11.pdf
