I have a Readynas Ultra 6 which up until now has worked perfectly. However now it is no longer available. When running the windows diagnostics, it indicates that device is not accepting connections ...

It would be worth checking your disks. As the support agent pointed out one of them has reallocated sectors.
There is a disk test boot menu option, but if you can power down, remove your disks (label order) and check them that would be better.
