NV+ - Raidiator 4.1.12 upgrade - no access now
I just upgraded an NV+ from Raidiator 4.1.10 to 4.1.12. Now I cannot access the NAS Frontview from my browser (Firefox 12.0). It gives the error message "Unable to connect - Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 192.168.1.103". I have rebooted it several times, and Raidar does see the NAS at this address. When I try to access through "setup" in Raidar, I cannot and get this error message in the browser window.
Is there a problem with this new firmware version (4.1.12), and if so, how do I roll back to 4.1.10? Can someone help me to regain access to the NAS through Frontview? Thank you!

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredDo you have SSH access?
Did you have any add-ons installed? If so, which ones? - badbrad1AspirantWhat is "SSH access"? I've upgraded the firmware a number of times and had no problem until this version.
I had a number of add-ons installed - that I can remember - bitorrent, photos, dlna, transmission, rutorrent 3.3, DASMonitor, Xplorer, php,? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredSSH access would be enabled via installing the EnableRootSSH add-on: http://www.readynas.com/?p=4203
This enables SSH for the 'root' user. Did you install that?
Sounds like one or more add-ons may need to be installed over the top of themselves (e.g. PHP). - badbrad1AspirantThanks for your reply. No, I did not install "EnableRootSSH" as an add-on. How can any add-ons be installed over again, when Frontview can't be accessed? Thanks!

- badbrad1AspirantHi, thanks for asking to access my Nas to take a look at it. Are you Netgear tech support? If I can't access the Nas with Frontview, how the heck would I put it in "tech support mode" for you to look at, give you the ip, and then how do you access my Nas? What is "tech support mode"? I think I installed 2 different PHP add-ons. I still can access the Nas via Windows file explorer. Can the PHP just be deleted from explorer? Can I somehow re-install it with explorer?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredNot NetGear tech support. But this is a relatively simple issue to fix. Your NAS boots fine and you can access your data, so it's just something stopping Frontview from working. Probably an add-on that could be removed or installed over the top of itself.
The only way to fix a problem like this would be to use SSH if enabled (you have indicated that it isn't) or to use tech support mode. I PM'd you instructions on how to use that mode.
Tech support mode is a low level diagnostics mode. It's useful for remote diagnosis and fixing of problems including problems far more serious than the problem you are currently facing. - mark4Aspiranthi hope this helps on my system it was the PHP5 add on stopping Frontview. I renamed this file for now:-
\etc\frontview\apache\addons\00_php5module.conf - badbrad1AspirantThanks for your reply, Mark. Where did you find this file - what is the full path. I've looked everywhere and can't find a php5module - both on my computer and the ReadyNas. I can't even find a "frontview" directory! Thanks again for assistance.
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserHe gave you the full path. This is on the OS partition of the NAS (e.g., you need to log in via ssh to find it).
