ok, I installed SSH - looks like maybe my box is rebooting - uptime is :
nas-01-3B-D2:~# uptime
21:24:49 up 6:25, 1 user, load average: 0.04, 0.05, 0.06
nas-01-3B-D2:~# date
Sun Aug 19 21:25:00 WEST 2012
I think i'm rebooting for some reason - and this is triggering a sync due to improper shutdown maybe?
