NV+ And secure ftp access
Hi! I've recently bought a nv+ with 8TB HDD in x-raid. The "problem" i have is that i dont know how to password protect my ftp connection. And google have failed me ( or my research intelligence :) ...

I am not sure how you are accessing FTP. I have the authentication mode set to "user" on the "standard file protocols" tab for FTP. Then FTP will not accept anonymous logons. You can set this without changing the permissions for the share (even if "everyone" has read/write access to the share, FTP will still require a logon/password).
If you are accessing FTP over the internet, I would suggest that you use "explicit FTP over TLS" - this has the benefit that your password/logon is sent encrypted. FileZilla supports this mode, and it works well with the NV+.
