USB speeds for NTFS are about 3 MB/s.
It is much faster to connect the USB drive to a PC and drag/drop over the network.

FAT32 is a bad idea if you have large files, as it can't hold anything > 2 GB.
For USB speeds with the Duo v1 see this post which has some rough estimates:
