NV+2 - Accessible by DLNA, not by NFS/SMB #24513857
Hi all,
New to the forum, looking for some assistance regarding some very strange permissions issues on my NV+2.
Last week I was experiencing the 'device is offline, please wait error'. I then re-built the OS twice and somehow managed to regain access to the front view.
Since then, I've been unable to access my shares through Windows (no permissions) but can access using DLNA (through a WDTV Live Player and Windows Media Player to name some examples).
I would be more than happy to wipe the NAS and start again but am also experiencing issues with backups on one particular share; including, "Reason for failure: Unable to access source path" and when using putty to SSH in, it only displays 10 out of 100 folders in the share (when DLNA can see the complete directory listing).
I can also see the full directory listing (all 100 folders) in the front view share browser.
Would really appreciate any advise/ideas on how to fix the perms or just backup the problem share so I can restore the NAS.
Thanks in advance!
Cheers, Scott.

Cheers Guys. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredO.K. Your 4GB OS partition is full.
I think the first one of those is the output of df -h and the second for df -i
You likely have a large log file or two that is filling it up.

The USB drive is NTFS, I only purchased that yesterday, solely for the purpose of backing up my data off the NAS.
Cheers again! - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredO.K. It's not log files then. Must be something else filling it up.

23M total - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredStill not it. You need to keep looking at other directories on the OS partition.
- tj1scottAspirantHi MDGM,
Just been through all the directories on the OS using du -csh /???/* and still the largest one was /usr at 296mb. Just to let you know, when I used du -csh /c/* (c being my share letter) it listed the full directory, including the folders I mentioned in the original post, but then when I went 'cd /c' and then 'ls' it only listed 10 folders (again as per the original post). Any other ideas would be much appreciated!
