NVX firmware displaying constant error messages

Accessing the firmware (RAIDiator 4.2.30) of my ReadyNAS NVX 4210 displays no Model, Serial etc on the home page, and despite the normal pop-up window informing of additional logs, clicking to view logs and some other tabs, displays error messages, such as:

'Error in evaluating table display lul ReferenceError: lul_display is not defined'

'Error in evaluating table display main ReferenceError: main_display is not defind'

'Error in evaluating table display tsl ReferenceError: tsl_display is not defind'

...and so on.

Also, Vault is shown as unticked with fields empty, though it wasn't, and is still functioning.

Nevertheless I receive weekly e-mails after Volume Consistency and RAID event tests which are fine, as appear to be the 3x1TB drives according to RAIDar.

  • I'd try these steps (in order)

    • updating to 4.2.31 (if you have enough functionality to do that)
    • disabling Kaspersky
    • either updating your browser (your version is over 2 years old) or trying chrome

I'm not seeing your issue with current Chrome or Firefox.

    What browser are you using?

Do you have any internet security software installed on the PC?

If you can get to the firmware update page, you might want to manually install 4.2.31 and see if that helps.

      Firefox ESR 52.8.0 (32-bit)

      Kaspersky Internet Security 18.0.0.405

Is it advisable to attempt an update with error messages - or is there no better time?! It's just that I've had this version for so long without issue. And I don't want to risk irreparable damage.
