i (think) i mean megabytes - i was looking at the file transfer window windows displays when dragging and dropping a file onto the NAS.
I will check it with FTP and see what it reports.
However that was direct connect, with the switch in the way then i only see 4 megabytes per sec - which i think is a bit poor.
PC has GBit NIC but i dont have that on the switch.
Update
Ftp read from NAS through the switch
ftp: 4676780032 bytes received in 440.11Seconds 10626.41Kbytes/sec.
Ftp write to NAS through the switch
ftp: 4681418752 bytes sent in 633.28Seconds 7392.28Kbytes/sec.
