OS 6.2.x on Pro2?
Not sure how I didn't notice this before, but should OS6.2.x run well on my Pro2? Any issues I need to be concerned with?

- ScottChapmanApprenticeSo this is still not working for me. I Authenticate as a user properly, and it correctly shows me what shares are available for that user. However I can't get to any of the shares.
I see the following in the smbd logs:[2015/01/01 13:49:02.192785, 2] ../source3/auth/auth.c:315(auth_check_ntlm_password)
check_ntlm_password: Authentication for user [GUEST] -> [GUEST] FAILED with error NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_USER
[2015/01/01 13:49:16.803591, 2] ../source3/auth/auth.c:305(auth_check_ntlm_password)
check_ntlm_password: authentication for user [Rob] -> [Rob] -> [Rob] succeeded
I think the guest account is just when trying to browse without logging in. There is a guest account on the NAS:root@Server:/var/log/samba# grep -i guest /etc/passwd
guest:x:99:99:nobody:/nonexistent:/bin/false - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserGUEST is not the same account as guest (linux usernames are case sensitive). So there is a clue there.
- ScottChapmanApprenticeThis is from a mac. AFP behaves similarly
Posted my logs... Hoping someone has some ideas - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserYou could try creating a username for GUEST and see what happens.

Is it worth trying to do an os re-install? If so, can I do that remotely (via SSH)? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee Retired
# touch /.os_update
# rn_shutdown -r - ScottChapmanApprenticeOK, thanks. Got it reinstalled. Need to wait for my dad to wake up before I can test it. Did you see anything interesting in the logs at all?
When the system came up, I did happen to see that there was two home directories for my user. I had played around changing the name of the user to see if the problem was some interaction with the name.
So I changed then user name from Rob -> rob. still had the issue so I changed it back rob -> Rob
However, there are now both a Rob and a rob folder in /home. I can't do a rmdir on the empty /home/rob folder:root@Server:/data/home# rmdir rob
rmdir: failed to remove `rob': Operation not permitted
root@Server:/data/home#
I don't think this is what my problem was... I was having the issue long before doing the test. But at this point how can I clean it up? - ScottChapmanApprenticeCleaned up the dangling rob folder by doing a btrfs subvolume delete on it. That part is fine...
