OS 6.4.0 - ReadyNAS 316 - Front Panel Lights Permenantly On - Anyone else ?
Since upgrading from 6.2.4 to 6.4.0, the front panel lights on my 316 have been set to permenantly on / high brightness and the panel is unresponsive to touch input. I've tried the workaround used on a previous OS release
echo 0 > /sys/bus/i2c/devices/0-002b/logoled
... but no change. I've also tried fully powering off and unplugging.
Before I start the "normal" next steps (firmware reinstall, factory reset etc), just wanted to ask the community if any other users have a problem with their front panel lights post upgrade to 6.4.0.
Hello kevin_marchant,
I don't see him actively answering in the community lately but you can try sending PM to him.
Or you can also try contacting support center to have them check your NAS.

Hello kevin_marchant,
I believe this result occurred on one of the BETA 6.4 versions.
Other than LEDs problem, are you getting any other problem after the update to 6.4.0? Can you still access the shares and the admin page?

Yes, other than the front panel, the box works as expected (admin, shares, timemachine).
I have two 316's purchased May '13 and Jan '15, both running 6.4.0
The front panel on the older one works fine. The problem is only with the newer one (different revision of motherboard ?)
The problem occurs everytime from a cold start.
I can reliably clear the problem on the newer one if I do a "reboot".
So yes, I'm hopeful it's not a hardware problem and as you suggest a firmware problem
Shall I contact Skywalker directly or can you ask him to PM me? He may recall I helped out with some slow file copy problems in 6.1.9
